The latest XT440 instrument from Swedish company Easy-Laser is a wireless laser shaft alignment tool with excellent price-performance characteristics, built on the reliable hardware of well-established series. The Easy-Laser® XT440 laser shaft alignment tool is capable of not only traditional shaft alignment functions, but also soft foot checking, alignment based on just a 40° rotation (for horizontal and vertical axis machines), thermal growth compensation, and finally continuous 3D display of corrective movements. With its multi-user software, the current measurement can be monitored on a smartphone or tablet, making it extremely suitable for educational purposes.

The Easy-Laser® XT440 instrument's measurement programs include horizontal and vertical shaft alignment, 360° live alignment, and tolerance calculation functions. The Easy-Laser® XT440 is capable of soft foot checking and applying thermal growth compensation. Measurement filters can be applied to reduce errors caused by external influences such as vibrations. To simplify measurements (and achieve feasibility in tight spaces), the Easy-Turn function allows shaft alignment measurements to be initiated from any position and can even be carried out with just 2 x 20° shaft rotations. Measurement phases can be stored in the memory of the Easy-Laser® XT440 or on an external USB memory. The Endurio™ energy management technology ensures the measurement process is uninterrupted with minimal energy consumption, allowing measurements to continue quickly and without data loss even with depleted batteries. The device is designed to withstand the demands of industrial applications, with ergonomic handling that is easy to master. The Easy-Laser® XT440 can be a long-term modern maintenance tool. Its capabilities can be enhanced with numerous accessories and its built-in program can be easily updated via USB memory.

Built-in alignment programs

	Traditional: alignment of horizontally positioned machines' shafts and couplings using the traditional "9 - 12 - 3 o'clock" method
	EasyTurnTM: this function allows you to start the measurement process from anywhere on the shaft. You can rotate the shaft to any of the three positions, needing to rotate at least 20° between each position to record the measurement values.
	Exchange: alignment of horizontally positioned machines' shafts and couplings based on just two +/-20° rotations, starting from any rotation angle
	Soft foot: checking the correct positioning of horizontal machines, recognizing "three-footedness"
	Vertical: alignment of vertical and edge-mounted machines' shafts and couplings
	Multi-foot setting: measurement/adjustment of machines standing on multiple feet
	Tolerance check: verification of compliance with alignment limits corresponding to the machine's speed category, with numerical and graphical display
	Thermal expansion compensation: eliminates the adjustment error that occurs due to thermal expansion in machines set when cold and operating in a warm state
	Value: real-time display of up to 10 rows of single- or dual-axis measuring units connected, e.g., for dynamic or flatness measurements, determination of bearing play
